The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has adopted the following policies to address conflict of interest for its members: System Policy 07.01 Ethics Policy, Texas A&M System Employees [1], System Policy 07.03 Conflict of Interest, Dual Office Holding and Political Activities [2], System Policy 07.04 Benefits, Gifts and Honoraria [3].
Neither the Chair of the Board nor any of the members have contractual, employment, personal or familial interest in Prairie View A&M University. Regents serve without compensation but are entitled to receive expenses incurred in conducting official business, in accordance with state law [4]. Members of the Board are subject to the Standards of Conduct for State Officers and Employees under Texas Government Code 572 [5].
Prairie View A&M University has not had to invoke policies addressing conflict of interest for board members.
